The soil composition, drainage behaviour, and heat retention patterns require a different approach — and with large villa plots that often exceed 1,000 sqm, project management demands are significantly higher.
This project represents one of the most comprehensive residential landscaping scopes Flowers Yard has delivered in Al Ain. Every major discipline was involved: civil groundworks, hardscaping, soft landscaping, a full drip and sprinkler irrigation system, pavilion construction, and a zoned external lighting system.
The client’s brief was total external transformation — not a surface refresh. We designed a plan around what the site actually needed, not a standard template.
Al Ain landscaping projects differ from coastal UAE work in several important ways every contractor must account for:
- Sandy and loamy soil with high permeability — requires additional prep for lawns and planted areas
- Drainage design must handle infrequent but heavy rainfall that the soil isn’t naturally configured for
- Plant species must be calibrated to Al Ain’s climate, not carried over from Dubai specifications
- Large plot sizes mean multiple phases running simultaneously — demands strong on-site supervision
